  • International Traffic in Arms Regulations control:
    • firearms, explosives, aircraft and parts, protective equipment (pressure suits, helmets, gas masks, etc);
    • software and many chemicals; and
    • electronics (including communications or navigation equipment).
  • Manufacturers of ITAR-related product may need to register with the U.S. government, even if you are only shipping domestically.
  • Exporters will need to register in order to apply for export licenses.
  • ITAR regulations have extra-territorial authority
