U.S. Dept. of State - ITAR  - International Traffic in Arms Regulations control:
- firearms, explosives, aircraft and parts, protective equipment (pressure suits, helmets, gas masks, etc);
- software and many chemicals; and
- electronics (including communications or navigation equipment).
- Manufacturers of ITAR-related product may need to register with the U.S. government, even if you are only shipping domestically.
- Exporters will need to register in order to apply for export licenses.
- ITAR regulations have extra-territorial authority
